Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Isaac mobile application, web application, and any related services (together, “the Service”) provided by Budgetwise Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, accessing our website, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. About Us

Budgetwise Limited is a company incorporated in England and Wales (company number 15344334). Our registered office is at Highview New Road, Broad Oak, Sturminster Newton, England, DT10 2HF. You can contact us at support@isaacmoney.com or via the in-app support feature. References to “Isaac” refer to the Isaac application operated by Budgetwise Limited, trading as Isaac.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that:

3. Nature of the Service — No Financial Advice

The Service is a financial planning and pension projection tool designed for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Service, in any output it produces, or in any communication from Budgetwise Limited constitutes:

Budgetwise Limited is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”). The Service is not a regulated financial service and we do not hold any FCA authorisation or permissions. All projections, calculations, and illustrative figures produced by the Service — including but not limited to pension projections, inheritance tax estimates, estate planning illustrations, and tax calculations — are estimates based entirely on assumptions and data you provide. They are illustrative only. Actual outcomes will differ, potentially materially, from any figure shown.

The inheritance tax planning features of the Service provide simplified estimates based on current UK tax thresholds and rules. They do not account for every individual circumstance, trust arrangement, or legislative change. Inheritance tax planning is a complex area of law and you should always seek professional advice from a qualified solicitor, tax adviser, or FCA-authorised financial adviser before making any decisions.

The business owner features of the Service (modelling a company’s retained funds, employer pension contributions, dividends, a liquidation or a sale) are simplified illustrations of Corporation Tax, dividend tax and Capital Gains Tax under current rules. They do not account for National Insurance, salary, the anti-phoenixing rules, earn-outs, trusts, or your company’s particular circumstances. Decisions about a company’s money should be taken with a qualified accountant or tax adviser.

The stress-test features of the Service (the Monte Carlo simulation and the historical backtest) illustrate how a plan might have fared under simulated or past market conditions. The historical backtest replays a plan against a published record of United States stock, bond and inflation history since 1871; it is not a record of UK markets, past performance is not a guide to future returns, and neither feature predicts what markets will do. The cash flow view redraws figures already in your plan and adds nothing to them.

You should always seek independent financial advice from a qualified, FCA-authorised financial adviser before making any decisions about your pension, retirement planning, estate planning, or any financial matter.

We accept no responsibility or liability for any financial decision you make in reliance on the Service or its outputs.

4. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of the Service you must register for an account. When registering you agree to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we have reasonable grounds to believe these Terms have been breached.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments

5.1 Free and Premium Tiers

The Service is offered on a freemium basis. Certain features (“Premium Features”) are only available to subscribers who have purchased a paid subscription plan (“Premium Subscription”). The features included in each tier may change at our discretion, subject to reasonable notice.

5.2 Pricing and Billing

Premium Subscription pricing, billing frequency (monthly or annual), and any applicable free trial period are displayed at the point of purchase within the Service or on our website. Web payments are processed by Stripe, with Budgetwise Limited as the merchant of record. We do not store full payment card details. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.

5.3 Renewals and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your device’s app store subscription settings or, for web subscriptions, through More > Subscription > Manage subscription > Cancel or change plan in the Stripe Billing Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to Premium Features until that date, after which your account reverts to the Free tier.

5.4 Refunds

Refund entitlements depend on the platform through which you subscribed. For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are subject to the respective platform’s refund policies and must be requested directly from Apple or Google; we do not process those refunds. For subscriptions purchased directly on our website, refund requests should be sent to support@isaacmoney.com and will be handled in accordance with our Subscription & Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.

5.5 Promotional Codes

We may from time to time offer organisation codes, employer benefit codes, or promotional codes that grant discounted or complimentary access to Premium Features. Each code is subject to its own terms, including any expiry date and maximum usage limit. Codes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be revoked at our discretion if misused.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to the software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Budgetwise Limited (trading as Isaac) or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you consent to the processing described in the Privacy Policy. We handle your data in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We take data security seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Budgetwise Limited, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Budgetwise Limited and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or applications, including payment processors and authentication providers. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party service. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and subject to that party’s terms and conditions.

13. Communications and Notifications

By using the Service you may receive communications from us, including:

We will not send unsolicited marketing communications without your consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and notify you via in-app notice or email where required by law. If a change is material, we will give you at least 14 days’ notice before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, with or without notice, if:

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the application and cancelling any active subscription. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued before termination.

16. Mergers, Acquisitions, and Business Transfers

Budgetwise Limited may, at any time, sell, transfer, assign, or otherwise dispose of all or a part of its business, assets, or shares, including through a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or insolvency proceeding. In such circumstances:

17. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, acts of government, war or civil unrest, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, or regulatory changes (“Force Majeure Event”). We will use reasonable efforts to mitigate the effects of any Force Majeure Event and resume performance as soon as practicable.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.

Before commencing any legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting us at support@isaacmoney.com. We will endeavour to respond within 10 business days.

If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

19. General

19.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Service and supersede all prior agreements and representations.

19.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

19.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

19.4 No Third-Party Rights

These Terms do not confer any rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

19.5 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights freely.
